Almost home!

Hey All!

Well, we're back in Guatemala City after a very successful recording trip. God is sooo good! We had a great time and are super pleased with how everything turned out. What an incredible experience. Thanks for all your prayers. One of the highlights of this trip was Wednesday when we handed out food supplies to the actors. We gave out huge bags of corn, rice, sugar and a cereal that is super nutritious. We'll have lots of cool shots to post once we get home.

We'll spend all day Friday and Saturday here and then fly home Sunday. We have some plans to see some Mayan ruins tomorrow and we hope to visit some local markets! After that, we hope to see most of you soon. Thanks again for all the love,

Rick & Danielle

Hola Amigos!

Hello everyone!

Well, so far we´ve been having a great time here in Guatemala. We arrived last Sunday and made our way to a small city about 4 hours outside of Guatemala city. The drive was beautiful. I think we saw about 8 Volcanos! The people here are wonderful and so hospitable. Both our moms will be happy to know that they are taking extra good care of the baby down here! We feel so blessed!

The recording is going well! It´s been exciting to see how God works out all the details! We were having a hard time finding a good nararator and it was becoming a concern (it´s the second largest role next to Jesus). So after a few days of trying different men, the locals found a man that simply walked in to the studio, having no practice or even knowledge about the project, and he basically put on the headphones and recorded the part in about 6 hours! We were all so impressed and thankful! We hope to finished the recording by Monday adn then finish up all the rest of editing by Wednesday. please pray that everything would continue to go smoothly. Also, you can pray for this Tuesday. We will be distributing food to all the actors who were greatly hit by Hurricane Stan. Please pray that they would see this gift as coming from a God who loves them and truly cares and that can provide for all their needs!

Well, we love hearing from you all- thanks for the comments! Hopefully we´ll write again in a few days. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.

Warmly,

Rick & Danielle (& Baby in less than 7 weeks)

Well, we leave for Guatemala early Sunday morning and plan to return on the 19th of February and we're super excited! We both feel well prepared and are ready for another adventure! Hopefully we'll be able to do some posting while we're down there but chances are there will be no pics until we return. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers! (the 3 of us) Posted by Picasa

Keep smiling

This post is mainly for BC's West Coasters who are getting sick of the rain. Just a friendly reminder that there is still a solar entity known as the sun... someday it will return! Hope you especially enjoy the smiley face... can you find it? Posted by Picasa
